LHU Library actively responds to 4th Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day in 2025

In response to Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day (April 21) and in celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 – April 30, 2025), the Library of LHU actively took part in an exhibition themed “Reading – Enriching Knowledge, Nurturing Aspirations, Promoting Innovation and Creativity”, organized by the Dong Nai Provincial Library from April 15 to 16, 2025. The event took place at the Dong Nai Provincial Library, attracting a large number of readers, students, and book lovers who came to visit and experience.

Not only did the event bring an inspiring reading culture space with hundreds of outstanding and unique book titles, but it also attracted attendees with a variety of rich and engaging activities, such as: book and newspaper exhibitions, displays of images and documents; artistic book displays; author meet-and-greet sessions; book exchanges and giveaways; free library card issuance; discounts on books and stationery; as well as knowledge-exploration games and fun quizzes with exciting prizes. In particular, the Virtual Reality Technology Exhibition themed “50 Years of Memories – The Journey of National Reunification” provided a fresh experience in the digital space, combining books, images, and modern technology, enabling participants to relive the heroic historical moments of the nation.

A notable highlight of this exhibition was the display booth of LHU Library, featuring the theme "Books - A Friend of Knowledge”. The booth not only showcased a catalog of new books, including textbooks and reference materials tailored to the University’s academic disciplines, but also introduced a selection of entirely new titles being unveiled to readers for the first time. In addition to the display, the Library hosted a number of meaningful interactive activities, such as: introducing its current information resources; guiding readers, especially LHU’s faculty, staff, and students on how to search for materials, use the digital library, access electronic databases, borrow and renew materials online. The Library's booth also became an ideal check-in spot with a lively photo area.

Participating in this event was a valuable opportunity for LHU Library to promote its image to a wide audience of readers, while also contributing to the movement of reading books and fostering a reading culture throughout the University, further inspiring lifelong learning and creativity in the digital age.
