Nguyen Thi Nu wins 7th Southern Universities Japanese Speech Contest

On March 16, 2024 student Nguyen Thi Nu, class 21DN113, majoring in Japanese Studies won the First prize at the 2024 Japanese Speech Contest for Southern Universities (season 7).

The final round of the Contest took place at VNUHCM-University of Social Sciences and Humanities, gathering 13 excellent candidates representing Universities, Colleges, and Institutes in the Southern region.

The 7th Japanese Speech Contest for Southern Universities was organized by the Center for Cultural Exchange and Japanese Studies under the Faculty of Japanese Studies - University of Social Sciences and Humanities in collaboration with Hiroshima University and Komaru Foundation.

With the theme "Traffic", the Contest not only aims to propagate and raise traffic safety awareness but also is a Japanese language playground, creating opportunities for students to demonstrate their language skills and connect with other students from universities in the Southern region.

The Contest received more than 70 entries from several universities in the southern region of Vietnam. After qualifying rounds, 13 excellent contestants were selected for the final round.

At the final round, Nguyen Thi Nu, class 21DN113, from the Department of Japanese Studies under the Faculty of Oriental Studies, LHU excellently won the Grand prize, receiving a 13-inch Macbook and a visit to Hiroshima University in Japan for 2 weeks.
