As higher education increasingly emphasizes integration and practical learning, international visits not only serve as academic diplomacy but also reaffirm the responsibility to expand learning opportunities for students. The visit of LHU delegation to Ludong University (China), led by Dr. Lam Thanh Hien, Rector of LHU, stands as a clear testament to this spirit: practical, insightful, and student-centered.

The working sessions focused on discussing educational models and new areas of cooperation, particularly in shared strengths: Languages, Food Technology, Mechatronics, Information Technology, and Multimedia Communication. Ludong University's specialized faculties shared their experience in operating practical training programs, mechanisms for university - industry collaboration, and competency-based student assessment methods aligned with international standards. These insights help LHU continue to refine its roadmap for improving training quality and meeting the demand for high-quality human resources in Dong Nai – a key economic region in southern Vietnam.

Located in Shandong province - a region with a long-standing educational tradition - Ludong University is a multidisciplinary institution with strengths in engineering, technology, economics, and modern management. Its educational model emphasizes practical experience, strong industry linkages, and applied student skills. Meanwhile, LHU, the first university in Dong Nai, has earned international recognition for achievements in robotics competitions, applied research, and partnerships with leading Asian universities. The shared orientation toward practical and career-focused education has been a key foundation of the long-term partnership between the two institutions.

On this occasion, the LHU delegation met again with 14 LHU students currently enrolled in the 3+2 joint programs and master’s programs at Ludong University. Each student receives a full scholarship and living expenses worth approximately 200 million VND. University leaders listened to the students’ experiences with integration, study methods, and academic life, while encouraging them to cultivate independence and uphold the qualities of Vietnamese international students.

In 2026, Ludong University will award 20 full scholarships specifically for LHU students. Beyond financial support, these scholarships symbolize friendship and shared responsibility in nurturing the next generation. With these 20 new international study opportunities, LHU students’ access to academic, cultural, and technological experiences abroad will be greater than ever before.

This visit was therefore more than an annual academic diplomacy activity. It showcased LHU’s vision of building a sustainable network of cooperation, placing students at the center of every decision. It also reaffirmed the University’s commitment to preparing students for global engagement through high-quality joint programs, valuable scholarships, and reputable educational models.

International cooperation, academic friendship, and educational support – these are the lasting messages of this meaningful visit, reflecting the shared dedication of both universities to nurturing knowledgeable, capable, and socially responsible students in an era of deep global integration.
