Green Communications Workshop: A Journey of Making Soap from Recycled Coffee

On August 31, 2025, at the Lac Hong Film Studio, the "Green Communications Workshop: A Journey of Making Soap from Recycled Coffee" took place in an exciting and inspiring atmosphere. The event was organized by the Multimedia Communications major from the Faculty of Information Technology in collaboration with SOAP, a green business founded by Nguyen Ngoc Bao Khanh.

Organizers and students in workshop

The event not only spread a message of environmental protection but also created an opportunity for Multimedia Communications students to directly experience and hone practical skills within their own field of study.

Activities

During the workshop, students had the chance to directly experience the process of turning coffee grounds into unique handmade soap bars. They also had the opportunity to listen to a passionate green startup story from Nguyen Ngoc Bao Khanh, the founder of SOAP.

- Taking charge of the live stream on the Lac Hong Film Studio Fanpage.

- Filming, taking photos, and editing post-event communications content.

- Applying theoretical knowledge to practice, from content production to audience engagement.

In parallel, the workshop also offered other meaningful activities:

- Practicing recycling coffee grounds into useful products.

- Interacting, connecting, and learning from one another.

Experience and Value

The atmosphere at the workshop was truly vibrant as each student personally created their own green product. Furthermore, Multimedia Communications students gained a valuable opportunity to apply their professional skills in a real-world setting, thereby boosting their confidence and teamwork abilities.

Sharing their thoughts on the activity, many students said the workshop helped them understand that: "A small idea can create a big change, not only for the environment but also for their own learning and self-development journey."

The organizers would like to express their sincere thanks to Nguyen Ngoc Bao Khanh for her companionship and inspiration. The workshop not only provided a valuable experience but also opened a green journey—where students can be both creative and mature, while contributing to sustainable values for the community.
