The effect of internal corporate social responsibility practices on employee motivation: a case study from smes in vietnam

This paper examined the importance of employee-centered Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) considerations in exploring CSR’s effect on employee work motivation. This study was adopted a primary sample of 330 employees at SMEs in Dong Nai province and Ho Chi Minh City of Vietnam. The research hypotheses were tested using correlation and regression analysis using factor scores from a principal component factor analysis. The results showed the influences of CSR practices on employee motivation, including i) Employment and employment relationships, ii) Conditions of work, iii) Social dialogue, iv) Health and safety at work, v) Human development and training in the workplace. The results of this study provide a foundation of theory and practice for SMEs can efficiently exploit the human resource for the development in the next period.
