Loan Policies

Lac Hong University has implemented a range of student loan policies to support both new and current students in accessing financial resources essential for their education. These policies align with the Vietnamese government’s regulations and initiatives by enterprises, creating inclusive opportunities for students from diverse socio-economic backgrounds. Such measures not only reduce financial barriers but also contribute to achieving global Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

  • I. Government-Backed Credit Loans

    • Implemented under Decision No. 157/2007/QĐ-TTg (dated September 27, 2007) by the Prime Minister, this program provides financial assistance to students facing economic hardship.
    • 1. Eligible Students
      - Orphans (both parents or one parent unable to work).
      - Students from low-income families (up to 150% of the average household income threshold for poverty).

      2. Loan Amounts: As per Decision No. 05/QĐ-TTg (dated March 23, 2022), eligible students may borrow up to VND 4,000,000 per month.

3. Interest Rates: ADecision No. 750/QĐ-TTg (dated June 1, 2015) sets the annual interest rate at 6.6%, significantly reduced to ease repayment.

This policy ensures that financial difficulties do not hinder students from pursuing higher education, reinforcing SDG 4: Quality Education.

II. The Mabuchi Motor Corporation Educational Loan Fund for Lac Hong University Students

  • In collaboration with Mabuchi Motor Corporation, a global leader with 19 branches worldwide, Lac Hong University offers a unique loan program for its students. This initiative reflects the commitment of both the corporation and our educational institution to education and sustainable development.
  • 1. Loan Application Process:

    • - Students must submit an application form provided by the university.
    • - Loan repayment is required post-graduation, either monthly or as a lump sum, with no interest charged.
  • 2. Scholarship Opportunities:

    • Selection Process: September annually (or as announced for application submission).

      Scholarship Amount: VND 1,000,000/month for four academic years (totaling VND 40,000,000).

    • Number of Recipients: The number of students awarded the Mabuchi Scholarship is determined annually by the university and announced in the IT Department Bulletin and the Class Bulletin within the ME system.

    • By fostering partnerships with private enterprises, LHU creates opportunities for students to achieve their educational goals without enduring financial strain.
